Thesis. The Historical Journal of Collections and Museology is a new Journal in History of Art. It focuses on the history of antique, medieval and modern collections, as well as on the history of the works of art that compose them, without leaving aside studies in museology.
Thesis. Journal of the History of Collections and Museum Studies is a new
Journal in the field of Art History. It is devoted to the history of antique,
medieval and modern collections, within a broad history of culture ; it proposes
important and challenging debates suitable to furthering our understanding of museology today. Thesis purports to publish new studies on the history, the typologies, and the meanings of collections. It should be seen as platform for new
ideas in all those areas. Thesis values challenging debates, and is open to contributions by young researchers, as well as by renowned scholars. Thesis issues articles in French, German, English and Italian. The editing board welcomes the
submission of articles, which are peer-reviewed. Thesis appears two times a year, in June (redactional deadline: 1st of April) and in December (redactional deadline:
1st of October).
